The Wolf And The Lamb

หมาป่า กับ ลูกแกะ

WOLF, meeting with a Lamb astray from the fold, resolved not to lay violent hands on him, but to find some plea to justify to the Lamb the Wolf’s right to eat him.

                เจ้าสุนัขป่าพบเข้ากับลูกแกะที่พลัดหลงจากกลุ่มตัวหนึ่ง มันไม่มีสิทธิที่จะรังแกลูกแกะ อย่างไรก็ตามมันคิดว่ามันต้องมองหาข้ออ้างเพราะว่าจะกินลูกแกะให้ได้

 

 

He thus addressed him: “Sirrah, last year you grossly insulted me.” “Indeed,” bleated the Lamb in a mournful tone of voice, “I was not then born.” Then said the Wolf, “You feed in my pasture.” “No, good sir,” replied the Lamb, “I have not yet tasted grass.”

 

มันจึงบอกขึ้นมาว่า  “Sirrah , ปีที่แล้ว แกพูดจาดูถูกดูหมิ่นฉัน ลูกแกะพูดว่า จริงๆแล้วในเวลานั้นหนูยังไม่เกิดเลย แล้วหมาป่าก็บอกต่อว่า แกกินหญ้าของฉัน  ลูกแกะตอบว่า ไม่ได้กินเลย ยังไม่เคยได้ลิ้มรสหญ้าเลย

 

 

Again said the Wolf, “You drink of my well.” “No,” exclaimed the Lamb, “I never yet drank water, for as yet my mother’s milk is both food and drink to me.”

 

สุนัขป่าพูดต่อ แต่แกดื่มน้ำในบ่อของฉัน  ลูกแกะตอบว่า ไม่ หนูยังไม่เคยดื่มน้ำ อาหารกับน้ำของหนูคือนมที่มาจากแม่

 

 

 

 

Upon which the Wolf seized him and ate him up, saying, “Well! I won’t remain supperless, even though you refute every one of my imputations.”

 

หลังจากนั้นสุนัขป่าก็ตะครุบลูกแกะกิน และกล่าวว่า ไม่ว่าจะมีเหตุไหนก็ตามมาลบล้างก็ตาม ฉันก็จะกินของกินเย็นมื้อนี้อยู่ดี

 

The tyrant will always find a pretext for his tyranny.

พวกเผด็จการก็จะหาข้ออ้างให้ตัวเองเผด็จการได้อยู่ดี
